Chris Baker has extensive experience of planning and implementing electronic publishing projects. His key skills lie in balancing innovation and commercial realities, and in forging effective teams. Chris has worked for Oxford University Press (as Web and Electronic Development Manager) and Current Science Group. Claudia Filsinger has a publishing background in sales and rights, both in Germany and the UK. For the last five years she held a Learning & Development position with the software company Oracle, where she managed and facilitated training programs, including e-Learning. Her three focus areas in her associate role are project management; training & meeting facilitation; and learning & development consultancy. Mary Hammond has a publishing background which began at Andromeda in the Sales and Marketing department. She went on to become Contracts Manager at Andromeda, and later Rights and Contracts Manager with Helicon. She has worked with a wide variety of print and online publishers, and has negotiated a broad range of contract models. She currently carries out administrative and licensing support at Attwooll Associates. Michael Holyoke is an experienced electronic rights specialist and project manager, particularly in UK educational and consumer markets. Michael was formerly General Manager of the Helicon business at Research Machines plc, and prior to that worked freelance for a variety of publishing clients, including OUP, Andromeda, and BBC Interactive. Sheila Lambie is a Sales and Marketing specialist, with knowledge of a wide range of markets and channels. She has held senior positions at Longman, Oxford University Press (including Head of Electronic Publishing), and Helicon (as Sales & Marketing Director). She is known for creating strong and profitable customer relations. Hilary McGlynn is a highly experienced reference and non-fiction publisher (formerly with OUP, Andromeda, and Editorial Director at Helicon), with detailed knowledge of both UK and US trade and institutional markets. She specializes in comprehensive editorial and project management, and concept development. Mirjana Misina specializes in Pre-press and Production. Formerly at OUP, she has a wealth of knowledge and experience, working on time- and cost-sensitive projects. She also lectures part-time at Oxford Brookes University on the BA Publishing Degree. She is recognised for her organisational and project management skills. Clare Painter is a Rights and Contracts specialist, experienced in negotiating licences for international online and print markets, using a wide range of business models. Previously with Andromeda, Italian publisher Mondadori, and Rights Director at Helicon, she is known for successfully handling deals from initial approach through to contract. Angus Phillips is Director of the Oxford International Centre for Publishing Studies and Head of the Publishing Department at Oxford Brookes University. He specializes in strategy projects and business research, as well as management, editorial and marketing training. He has an MBA from Warwick University and many years experience in the publishing industry. Maria Quantrill is a qualified chartered accountant with a background at Grant Thornton and Helicon (as Finance Director). She has first-hand experience of corporate acquisitions and disposals, and expertise in financial planning, analysis and control, and all financial aspects of corporate strategy.
